Mild Autumn Means More Exploring: The latest post from PegCityLovely our Brand Ambassador

Making Roots Montessori is delighted to introduce our families to Natalie Bell (also known as @PegCityLovely). Natalie is a local blogger and HR specialist who recently joined the Making Roots Montessori family along with her husband, and her son J, who attends our school. It's been a crazy fall season for all of us in Winnipeg, especially at Making Roots because the temperatures have been so mild and wonderful!

Typically this time of year we are starting to see a lot of snow and rapidly dropping temperatures!  Instead of bringing out the snow pants, gloves and mitts etc. we have been very lucky to have experienced warm temperatures that allow us to still wear our fall clothing!

This makes field trips so much easier for the kids (and the staff).

To help celebrate October's themes of: Thanksgiving, life cycle of a pumpkin, and fruits/vegetables, a trip to the farm was in order!

J's only comment after I asked him about the farm was "It smelled"! hahaha

He did say though, that he really enjoyed Miss Sonja's visit. Sonja Rasmussen is a local musical entertainer and if you don't know the song "Froggy In The Throaty" yet, you soon will! J said he LOVES that song!

October was jam packed and November looks like it will be more of the same!
Of course the impending Brandon location opening had both Kristen and Megan super excited. I had a chance to quickly catch up with Megan and ask about how the Brandon Making Roots was coming along and here's what she said:

"We are over the moon, to have been given this opportunity to make roots in Brandon. The support of the community has been unwavering. We are thrilled to provide this long overdue service to the residents of this wonderful community and be part of the revitalization of the downtown."

Congratulations to the city of Brandon, from one mom to many, you will love the Making Roots Montessori experience for your child, take it from me!
We are a couple of months into J's last year in Montessori and I am very much looking forward to seeing his progress report in November.
